Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, declaring a state of emergency, called the flooding “a crisis in the middle of a crisis.”
11 THOUSAND people were forced to evacuate their homes as the region was overwhelmed by the deluge
Homes, cars, roads, bridges and other property have been obliterated cutting off essentially supply lines for many in the area
And all this, right the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and stay-at-home orders around the world.
Federal authorities have issued an emergency declaration for the area.
